I'm a married woman in my 50s with 4 grown children and 4 grandchildren. I have a large range of interests--from politics to all kinds of music to happenings around the world. I enjoy family-time, reading, writing, flower gardening, decorating, cooking, traveling and people-watching.

I joined to enter a crime writing contest. I'm also interested in what others have written and in their opinions on various subjects.

I love almost all music--classical, big band, rock and roll, jazz. An oldies station--60s and 70s is on my car radio. The last station I would have on my radio is an "easy listening" station--too monotonous.
Favorite Books, Writers, Genres:

Thorn Birds by Colleen McCullough, Almost all by John Grisham, Patricia Cornwell, Tami Hoag and Jonathan Kellerman. I also liked Moby Dick, A Tale of Two Cities. Many of the classics and contempory ones, also--too many to mention., Dickens, Grisham, Cornwell, Hoag
Favorite Movies, Actors, Genres:

In The Line of Fire, Miss Congeniality, All the old ones--Bogart, Hepburne, Grant, Gable, Lombard...especially comedies and romances
Favorite TV Shows, Actors:

Cold Case, NCIS, Without a Trace, Bones, Criminal Minds, CSI are the shows I watch
Interests and Activities:

I'm active in community theater and volunteer at church and for our state representative, Reading, writing, working out, flower gardening, decorating, cooking, traveling and people-watching
